Maquis de Cabertat

The Maquis de Cabertat was one of the Resistance units operating in the Tarn-et-Garonne department of France. After escaping captivity, Ahmadiyya Jabrayilov joined the Delplanque section of this unit and took part in the clandestine war against the occupying forces.

Fighters of the Maquis de Cabertat came from various nationalities — including soldiers who had escaped Soviet captivity. Their shared goal was the struggle for the liberation of France.

In 2016, a memorial plaque dedicated to this unit was unveiled at Cabertat.
